The Pirate Who’s Afraid of EVERYTHING. Bookworks is hosting a pirate party, including a reading and signing with Connor, and his co-author, Annabeth Bondor-Stone, beginning at noon. Bring your children (dressed as pirates, mermaids, or sea captains, of course!)  and join us afterward for a reception down the street at Village Pizza, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

    Enjoy the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with fellow alums and their families. We’ll depart the Academy campus from the north side parking lot (P1) promptly at 5:30 a.m. Cost ($12/ adults, $6/kids) includes transportation to and from the park, admission, and access to the Balloon Fiesta Hospitality Tent.  Seating is limited; advance registration required.

    Bear Canyon holds a special place in our hearts and minds. It’s a place where connections are made with nature, and lifelong friendships with teachers and classmates are forged.

    This fall will mark the 40th Anniversary of the Bear Canyon Project. We hope you will join us as we celebrate four decades of outdoor education in our beautiful canyon with food, music, hiking, and great company.

    Please join us for a picnic dinner which will include chicken, barbecue sandwiches, vegetarian options, and more.  A cash-bar will offer beer and wine. One drink ticket is included with each adult meal.

    Hikes
    Our Ex-Ed faculty will offer guided hikes beginning at 2 p.m. Please plan to be on the first shuttle (1:30 p.m.) if you wish to hike.

    Entertainment
    Enjoy old-time and bluegrass music by the the Virginia Creepers,  a local band featuring three parents of alums.

    Shuttles
    Parking in not available at Bear Canyon. Please plan to ride one of the shuttles leaving from the North Lot (P1).  The first shuttle will begin loading at 1:30 p.m. If you are planning to only attend dinner, a shuttle will begin loading at 4:30 p.m. Shuttles will return to campus at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
